What Lies Within

Remodeling has not officially began yet because we are just trying to clear everything out of the house. His parents took what they needed and left everything else for us to deal with. At first it seemed like a huge pain to me but really its kind of fun. My in-laws were pack rats and rarely got rid of anything. They also rarely cleaned out closets and so forth. I am finding lots of neat old treasures. Some of them I will be selling on eBay and others I will be keeping. I will be selling under the seller ID rusty*cottage. I have an about me page on there, go check it out.

I love the white vase. It is very "cottagey" and vintage looking. It has no markings so I don't know much about it. His mother had a ton of vases!

The cute little saucer would also go great in a cottage. It would make a great addition to a plate collection. Look who managed to get in on that picture...hello Miss Kiki!

The ice scream scoop looks very vintage to me, but my husband says its not very old. Who knows, right? I like it, but will probably sell it.

The beautiful peach serving dish is exquisite! I am in love with it. It has a couple of small flaws but it totally gives it character.

You are so lucky that you have a cottage to fix up! I think it's great that you are starting the blog at the same time!
