About Me

I am a twenty-four year old married mother of one. I graduated from college with a BS in Education (K-6th) and a certification in Early Childhood Education and am not using it. Surprise, surprise! Staying home with my 14 month-old daughter is more of a priority for my husband and I.

I am married to a man that never fails to make me laugh. We have been married for almost 2 years now. Did you just do the math? Yep, our daughter is a honeymoon baby. We married in Narragansett, Rhode Island at
Scarborough Beach and a month later found out that we were pregnant.

I live in Missouri, always have lived in Missouri and probably always will. I can’t complain, I’m comfortable here.

Besides staying at home with my daughter, I also babysit two other children on weekdays. It helps pay the bills and keep my desire for more children at bay :)

Every now and then there is a part of me that wants to be a teacher but then I remember how little I will be here for my husband and daughter. Being a teacher is a lot of work, to say the least. Don't even get me started on the pay!

Although I am not teaching I love to think of creative and fun lesson plans. I have become a bit of a pack rat because just as I am about to throw something out I think of a way that it could be used in a classroom or in a lesson. Perhaps someday I will get to use it.

I'd rather scrapbook or do crafty things than anything else in my spare time. But wait, what is "spare time"?

My husband and I recently "inherited" a project...I mean a house. His parents moved to a senior living community and gave us their old home. More blogs to come on that one.

I like to think that I am easy going and far from "stuffy". Life is too short to take it for granted; I try to make the most of it.

Being random is a stress reliever because you don't have to keep things bottled up. (See, that was random. I had to say that because it was in my mind.)

I am a sinner and don't deserve the love and forgiveness that my Lord grants me.

This blog is for the things that interest me (which is ever changing): antiques, scrapbooking,
cottage living/decor, history, crafts, family, lesson plans, recipes, current events (I am definitely a news junkie), selling on ebay, etc. If none of these things interest you then you may want to move right along.
